Nestl.Weunlockthepoweroffoodtoenhancequalityoflifeforeveryone,todayandforgenerationstocome.Half-YearReportJanuaryJune2024Half-YearReportoftheNestlGroup20241Dearfellowshareholders,ForewordTheHalf-YearReportcontainscertainfinancialperformancemeasuresnotdefinedbyIFRSAccountingStandards(hereinafter“IFRS”),whichareusedbymanagementtoassessthefinancialandoperationalperformanceoftheGroup.Theyincludeamongothers:Organicgrowth,RealinternalgrowthandPricing;UnderlyingtradingoperatingprofitmarginandTradingoperatingprofitmargin;Netfinancialdebt;Freecashflow;andUnderlyingearningspershareasreportedandinconstantcurrency.ManagementbelievesthatthesenonIFRSfinancialperformancemeasuresprovideusefulinformationregardingtheGroupsfinancialandoperatingperformance.TheAlternativePerformanceMeasuresdocumentpublishedunderdefinesthesenonIFRSfinancialperformancemeasures.IntroductionPositiverealinternalgrowth(RIG)isback.WedeliveredimprovedvolumeandmixgrowthacrosstheGroupinthesecondquarter.NestlHealthScienceisrecoveringasplannedandissetforastrongsecondhalf.Lookingaheadtotheremainderoftheyear,wewillcontinuetodriveRIGbylaunchinginnovationsthataddressconsumertrendsandgrowingourlargeiconicbrands.Atthesametime,wehaveseenpricingcomedownfasterthanexpected.Therefore,weconsideritprudenttoadjustourguidancefortheyear,withorganicsalesgrowthnowexpectedtobeatleast3%.GroupresultsGroupsalesOrganicgrowthwas2.1%.RIGwas0.1%,strengtheninginthesecondquarterto2.2%,withbroadbasedimprovementacrossgeographiesandcategories.Pricingwas2.0%,deceleratingto0.6%inthesecondquarter,largelyreflectingahighbaseofcomparisonin2023andincreasedgrowthinvestments.Bygeography,organicgrowthwasdrivenbyEuropeandemergingmarkets.Indevelopedmarkets,organicgrowthwas1.0%,ledbypricingwithnegativeRIG.Inemergingmarkets,organicgrowthwas3.7%,drivenbypricingandclosetoflatRIG.Byproductcategory:Coffeewasthelargestorganicgrowthcontributorwithmidsingledigitgrowth,supportedbyourthreeleadingglobalcoffeebrandsNescaf,NespressoandStarbucks.PetCaredeliveredmidsingl…
